Locust Street, Covington, Ther meeting was called to order by Mayor Thomas H. Sibold, Jr. with all members present as follows: Mayor Sibold, Vice Mayor David S. Crosier, Councilman Edmond. J. "Eddie Joe" Entsminger, Councilman Raymond C. Hunter and Councilman S. Allan' Tucker. 1.To consider Second Reading of Ordinance 0-20-05 regarding Levying Real Estate Taxes and] Public Services Taxes for FY2 2020/2021 (No change in rate) 2.To consider Second Reading of Ordinance 0-20-06 regarding Levying Personal Property/Machinery and' Tools Taxes for] FY 2020/2021 (No change ini rate) 3.To consider Second Reading of Ordinance 0-20-07 Budget. Upon a motion by Vice Mayor Crosier, seconded by Mr." Tucker, Council voted 51 to Oto approve, on Second Reading, Ordinance 0-20-06: regarding Levying Personal Property Machinery and' Tools Taxes for FY 2020/2021 (No change ini rate)! Upon ar motion by Vice Mayor Crosier, seconded by Mr. Tucker, Council voted 51 toOto approve, on second reading, Ordinance 0-20-071 Budget Appropriations for FY 202/2021. Mayor Sibold, For; Vice Mayor Crosier, For; Mr. Entsminger, For; Mr. Hunter, For; Mr. Tucker, For. Mayor Sibold expressed appreciation for the employees working through the rain event and cleanup. He expressed concerns regarding the collapse of the road at Ashland and Carpenter Drive (Rt. 18) due to the heavy rain. City Manager Onaitis explained that this area will be reviewed by VDOT on Monday. Itis currently a one lane road through this area. Mayor Sibold requested the City Manager look intoj possible grant funding to assist with the flood damage in the area as well as sewer issues. He noted other areas ini need of repair and stated that iti ist timet to begin seeking assistance. The repair to Carpenter Drive will be very costly. No further business to come before Council, the meeting was adjourned.
