At thist time, upon a motion by Vice Mayor Crosier, seconded by Mr. Tucker, Council voted to add) Ms. Susan! Hammond of VDOT, to the agenda. She gavea aj presentation regarding status of projects in the City. Heri report included an overview of project development and tracking of projects related to on-time performance and on-budget performance. Projects are monitored in each phase and can be viewed to1 make sure each project is moving forward as required. Actual projects in the City include Durant Road, Madison Avenue, S. Alleghany Ave., Maple. Avenue Phase 3 Improvements andI Maple Avenue Streetscape. Projects noted for the Smart Scale application include the Paper Trail Pedestrian Bridge, Jackson Street improvements, Edgemont Drivei improvements, E. Madison. Avenue sidewalk, Thacker. Avenue and the Rayon Bridge replacement. Ms. Hammond is expecting additional information in the next month regarding the funding status as dollars become available. Mayor Sibold noted that Phase 2 oft the Maple Avenue project began Monday, August 3rd. Allen] Dressler, Director of Parks and Public Works, noted that the contracts havel been signed: for the S. Alleghany Avenue project.
