MINUTES CALLED MEETING MAY21,2019  A called meeting oft the Council for the City of Covington was held on' Tuesday, May 21,2019at 6:30 p.m. ini the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 333 W. Locust Street, Covington, Ther meeting was called to order by Mayor Thomas H. Sibold, Jr. with the following members present: Mayor Sibold, Vice Mayor David S. Crosier, Councilman C.. J.I Entsminger. Jr. and Councilman S. Allan Tucker. Councilman Raymond C. Hunter was ill and unable to attend.  Virginia.  The purpose oft the meeting was:  1. Tol holda al Public) Hearing regarding the FY 2019/2020 Budget. 2. To do any and all things necessary and proper to accomplish the above.  Thel Public) Hearing was opened. There were: no comments from the citizens present. Mayor Sibold Clay Goodman, Interim City Manager, stated that there will be a 1' reading of the budget on. June 4, 2019 anda a 2nd, reading and vote ont the budget on. June 11,2019.1 Hes stated that on. June 4,2019he will present information for Council to consider including 'no-fault' insurance with the City's insurance carrier, Virginia Municipal League (name changing soon to Virginia Risk Sharing Association). The City deleted this insurance coverage approximately two years ago. To reinstate Kathyl Downey, local business owner, asked about the Enterprise Propriety fund thati isi in the budget and not listed byl linei items. Mr. Goodman and) David) Bryant, Jr., Director of Finance, explained this is concerning water, wastewater ands solid waste. Thisi is not concerning individual businesses. Upon a motion by Vice Mayor Crosier, seconded by Mr. Tucker, Council votedt to adjourn the  closed the Public Hearing.  thisi insurance it willl be approximately $10,000-$11,000: per year.
