OLD BUSINESS 1:1 Renaming Committee Chairman Whitman mentioned the committee discussed potentially renaming the Development Committee to something that does not conflict with thel Economic Development Committee. The County Administrator suggested consolidating the Economic Development Committee with The Economic Development & Tourism Director agreed with consolidating thel Economic There was further discussion regarding consolidating the Economic Development Committee The Committee discussed potential new names for the Development Committee. After discussion, it was agreed to change "Development Committee" to now bei named as Supervisor Yowell made ai motion toi rename the Development Committee" to' Preliminary Development Review Committee," seconded by the County Administrator. MWP The County Administrator reviewed the pre-application for Madison Wood Preservers (MWP) and introduced the applicants present. The County Administrator highlighted the following items: MWP acquired property on the corner ofOak Park Road and Route 29 and are. looking to rezone tol M2. 3.71 acres Currently zoned R2 Reviewed the current zoning and surrounding zoning. After rezoning will do a boundary line adjustment Ms. Kari Gaviria, Madison Wood Preservers' President, was present and discussed the logistical challenges ofunloading trucks at Madison Wood, including traffic jams and inefficient unloading processes, and described a logistical expansion plan to unload trucks in a covered storage area that also addressed safety concerns. Ms. Kari Gaviria also discussed using dirt from There was discussion regarding possible neighbors' concerns about traffic and proximity. Chairman Whitman inquired about potential improvements at the 29 and Oak Park intersection. a corner lot to fill in a gully and expand the shipping area. The County Administrator stated he was not aware of any. Supervisor Yowell inquired how many employees MWP had. Ms. Kari Gaviria stated they had roughly one. hundred with at least 70% living inl Madison. Supervisor Yowell discussed the importance ofMWP fori the County and stated the Comp Plan supports it, the zoning supports it, and they should send this to the Planning Commission and get itt to the Board of Supervisors. Supervisor Yowell recommended. MWP work with the Health Department (VDH), VDOT, and DEQ ifthey have not already for the Site Plan. The County Administrator confirmed that they were already on top ofit. The County Administrator stated the boundary line adjustment will bel handled administratively; however, the Chairman Whitman inquired ift the stakeholders that were present had anything to add. Mrs. Emily Bourdon, Virginia Department of] Health's (VDH) staff, was present and recommended being mindful oft the sewage system and well while digging. Mr. Joe Sexton, E & S Program Administrator, stated they will: need to go through DEQ and Culpeper Soil and Water and he did not foresee any problems. Mr. Joe Sexton: mentioned therei is Ms. Kari Gaviria responded that the goal is to use it to: fill the gully, but the topo survey is the Mr. John Winn, VDOT's staff, was) present and stated VDOT has no issue with the rezoning.
