Johnson 1. Call meeting to order. Chair McBride called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. 2. Citizen comments not related to an agenda item. None. 3. Consider the Minutes of September 26, 2018n meeting. Commissioner Villalobos moved to approve the September 26, 2018, minutes. Commissioner 4. SUP-18-12. Hold a PUBLIC HEARING and consider a request by Rick. Johnson for a Specific Use Permit to allow a Church on 1.05 acres in the Francis Berry Survey, Abstract No. 2,zoned CLB Commercial Light Business District and located at 1011-B West San Antonio Street (SH142). Dan Gibson explained that a Specific Use Permit (SUP) is required for a church in the CLB Commercial Light Business District, and it was recently discovered by staff that the subject church has been operating without the required SUP. He presented maps and photos of the subject property and surrounding area. He said staff had not received any inquiries concerning Chair McBride opened the public hearing and asked ift the applicant would come forward. Rick Johnson, of McMahan, said he owns the building and was representing the Pastor of the church, George Diaz. He mentioned that the church had been operating since May 2010. City staffi inspected the property in. July 2013, and nothing was said then about the requirement for a specific use permit. In addition, a sign permit application was approved for the church by Chair McBride asked for any other speakers and, seeing none, he closed the public hearing. Commissioner Ruiz moved to approve SUP-18-12. Commissioner Villalobos seconded, and the Ruiz seconded, and the motion passed by a vote of5 5-0. the church, and that staff recommended approval of the specific use permit. City staff. Adjourn. Commissioner Rodriguez moved to adjourn, and Commissioner Villalobos seconded.
