Approve minutes from 7/17 Regular Meeting and 7/31 Called Meeting Woodard made an motion to approve the 7/17 Regular Meeting minutes, Brownley 2nd, unanimously approved. Brownley made the motion to approve the 7/31 Called Meeting minutes, Jones 5. Approve. Agenda - Cox made ai motion to approve, Woodard 2nd, unanimously approved. 6. July Finance Reports - Cox made the motion to approve the reports, Jones 2md, 2nd,u unanimously approved. unanimously approved. OLD BUSINESS 7. Adoption of Glenwood Telephone Co. Franchise Ordinance- - Cox made the motion to approve the ordinance, Brownley 2nd, Jones and Geter approved, Woodard opposed. 8. Adoption of] Progressive Rural Telephone Co. Ordinance - Cox made the motion to 9. Hardware store bids - One bid was submitted, and it was: from Greg Campbell with South Ga' Tools. He offered $500/mo. Lease with the city being responsible for the upkeep and repairs. The council stated that they believe that is an unreasonable bid. 10. Eastside Park Update - Geter asked about doing the Homecoming tailgate again on Sept 29. Geter made the motion to approve, Woodard 2nd, unanimously approved. Heart ofGA Contract - Woodard made the motion to approve the contract with them overseeing the new. ESP grant, Jones 2nd, unanimously approved. Grant Engineer - Brownley made a motion to table until council can look through the bids, Woodard 2nd, unanimously approved. Will hold a called meeting to approve approve the ordinance, Brownley 2nd, unanimously approved. before September 1St. 11.C City Hall Update -. Jeff stated that there are 2 more changes that need to be approved. Change Order # 3(Demo some plywood and OSB of the existing Roof over the maintenanceistorage shop area. Jones made the motion to approve the change, Brownley 2nd, unanimously approved. Change Order #4 (Adding soffits in the PD) - Jones made the motion to approve the change, Woodard 2nd, unanimously approved. NEW BUSINESS 12. Water & Sewer Recommendations - Jeff proposed doing some renovations to the city bank well building and pay out of the W/S account. Brownley made the motion to approve the renovating, Cox 2nd, unanimously approved. Also, Cox made the motion to use Macon Supply for the pipe locator, Woodard 2nd, unanimously approved. 13. Dog Ordinance/Dog Registration - Brownley asked about possibly getting the citizens to register their dogs at the City Hall sO it would possibly be easier to locate owners if animal is found. Other members stated that the owners may not know the breed of animal and won'tget proper information. So, Brownley made the motion to table the subject and look over the current ordinance, Cox 2nd, unanimously approved. 14. City Managers Report - Report attached. 15. Council Member Reparks: Brownley had made ai motion to amend the 1975 burn ordinance to take out "citizens are allowed to burn with the approval of the FD and council" to only having approval from Forestry. Woodard 2nd, unanimously approved. PUBLICPARTICIPATION ditches? Johnny Moore and Sandra Brown asked ifthe city workers will start weed eating the James Lee -1 thankful for the $200 credit against water customer accounts.
