Approve Minutes from 1/181 Regular Meeting & 1/31 Called Meeting - Jones madea motion to approve both minutes, Lewis 2nd, unanimously approved. 4. Approve Agenda - Floyd added Administrative Committee (#17). Woodard made the motion to approve the agenda with addition, Jones 2nd, unanimously approved. 5. Financial Reports - reports attached. Alexus Chandler & Latosha Elbert (Fathers Among Men) -i is a grant funded program part ofGA Healthy Start and they provide parenting and prenatal education to people who have children. The grant was written to try to get more fathers involved in their children lives. Came to council to ask them to help spread the word about the program that is 2nd, unanimously approved. available. OLD BUSINESS 7. ASAP Committee (City Hall) - has ai meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 2 to go over the progress. Floyd has done a drawing and gave it to the architect. Woodard stated that also 8. LMIG 2022 Update - Floyd stated that bids to complete the project need to be advertised. Jones made a motion to advertise for bids, Lewis 2nd, unanimously approved. Also, at the end ofHartley Rd when Browning trucks come out, they are coming extremely close to the fire hydrant and the road (Pine St) is tore up bad. Floyd suggesting that when someone comes and gives a quote for the LMIG, they can get a quote for that also. Jones made a motion for Floyd to get bids to get it fixed, Lewis 2nd, they will be meeting with the PD to see what their needs are. unanimously approved. 9. Old Rec. Dept. Update - The next step is to develop a committee to help with the planning 10. Hardware Store - Floyd stated that the asking price is $164,000 for the hardware store and all buildings down to the city shop. Woodard made a motion toj put in a bid of$130,000, ofstarting the renovation oft the rec department. Jones 2nd, unanimously approved. NEW BUSINESS 11. Telephone Contract- 12. Parking @ Old Rec Dept - Lott made a motion to notify the WC BOE Superintendent, Couey by letter to give 30-days to find another spot for contractors to park so the city can start the renovation of old rec department, Lewis 2nd, unanimously approved. PUBLICPARTICIPATION: Sandra Brown - addressed the messy yards on her street. Tammy Hammond - asked about the Alamo Pride (Yard oft the Month) signs. When will they get put out? Also, she addressed the concern of the dogs not being taken care of during the cold days/nights and being tied up all day/night.
