Suzanne Couey, School Superintendent was wondering ift the city would allow for the contractors toj part their personal vehicles at the old rec dept. Council does not have a problem but will need a plan B when the renovations start . Part-time employee - Steven Chancey was previously agreed on to work until the end of December, but CM: Floyd would like to extend until March meeting. By then, we made need tol hire another part-time tol help with the weed eating since spring will be around the corner. NEW BUSINESS 8. Appoint Mayor Pro-Tem - Lewis made a motion for Patricia Woodard, Lott 2nd, 9. Approve 2021 Council Meeting Schedule - copy of meeting schedule is attached. The meetings will be the 3rd Monday of every month except for the. January 2021 meeting. It will be moved from January 18, which is a holiday, to Tuesday, January 19, 2021.Jones made the Woodard, Geter and Jones approved, Cox opposed. motion to approve meeting dates, Lott 2nd, unanimously approved. 10. Approve 2021 Holiday Schedule- - holiday schedule is attached. Lott made the motion to 11. Approve City Attorney - Jones made motion to keep R. Clark as the City Attorney, 12. Approve City Accountant - Woodard made a motion to keep Hilliard & Milton, Lewis 13. Tindall Contract - Lott made motion to approve contract with the exception that CM Floyd check on a change in the EPD liability section, Woodard 2nd, unanimously approved. 14. For the month ofNovember, the PD answered approx., 368 calls, issued 15 citations, 7 warning and done 12 reports. Requesting the following: -2021 Tahoe trying to keep the officers from sharing vehicles due to COVID. Total: $49,250.16; Jones made motion to get vehicle with the vehicle price of $36,189.00 to be paid out of SPLOST and the rest out of] Fines & Fees, Lott 2nd, -Drawer (Deck) system for PD truck - need for storage. Total price: $1499 to come out of Fines and Fees. Woodard made the motion to get the drawer system but hold off 17.2021 Committees: Mayor Lee presented a copy oft the committees to the council members. She stated that the committees are important and need to get together to stay on top of things at least once a month or at some point. It will give a chance for them to get together and report back to whole council during the meetings. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Sandra Brown - gave appreciation for the Christmas events. Charles Lee - asked if the officers driving the Charger can drive the Tahoe if possible? Chiefresponded that he is trying to keep everyone separated due to COVID but will if needed. EXECUTIVE SESSION (employee matters) = went into executive session 7:15 pm with Lewis making the motion, Lott 2nd, unanimously approved. Mayor Lee asked City Clerk, Marie Carrillo to leave and she would take minutes from Executive session. Following executive session, Woodard made the motion on the following 2 items: (1) Mayor Lee to get access to the computers to take payments when needed, Lott 2nd, unanimously approved and (2) Employees S. Chancey will go to $IO/hr., D. Burkhalter will get $1 raise and part time police officers will go: from $13.69/hr. to $14.00/hr. Everyone else is on a 6n mo. Evaluation period starting in Jan. 2021.
