Adairsville Council Meeting Minutes, May 9th, 2024  Council Meeting City of Adairsville 116 Public Sq Adairsville, Ga 30103  MINUTES  Present for the meeting: Mayor Kenneth Carson Mayor Pro Tem Lee Castro Councilmember Alan Towe Councilmember Erwin Holcomb Councilmember Brandey Jenkins  Also present: City Manager, Pam Madison; Police Chief, Mike Jones; Events & Marketing Director, Autumn Lester; Community Development Director, Caleb Martin; Gas Manager, Steve Smith; Public Works Director, Brady Hammonds; City Clerk, Lisa  Donald  Call to Order - Mayor Carson called the meeting to order at 7:02 P.M.  Recognitions  The City Council recognized Adairsville Church on The Square for receiving the 2024 Preservation Award for Excellence in Rehabilitation from The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. Those present were church member Bob Painter, and Historic Preservation Committee members Evan King (Chair) and Brady  Hammonds. (Staff Member).  Jonna Duke from Cancer Navigators was present to receive a check for $2,500 which was proceeds from the first Great Locomotive Chase 5K race hosted by Gas Manager Steve Smith and the gas department staff was recognized by the Council after receiving the customer growth award in recognition of the highest customer growth percentage within a member gas system.
