CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND  SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING TUESDAY, APRIL2 24, 2018 MEETING MINUTES  1. CALLTO ORDER/ROLL CALL-6:00 PM  Mayor Medina called the special City Council meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. Mayor Medina, Deputy Mayor Blossom and Councilmembers Deets, Nassar, and Peltier were present.  Councilmember Tirman participated remotely. Mayor Medina reviewed the process.  MOTION: Imove that the Council utilize the process as described to determine the appointee to fill the vacancy. By voting fori this motion, la am voting to select the appointee that is determined by utilizing this  process based on the point system as described. Blossom/Peltier: The motion carried unanimously, 6-0.  2. COUNCILCANDIDATE REMARKS OR INTERVIEWS - 6:15 PM City Council candidate finalists Mark Jordan, Monica Aufrecht, Leslie Schneider, and Debbie Hollyer delivered their prepared remarks and responded to questions from the City Council.  3. EXECUTIVE SESSION elective office - 7:01 PM  A. Pursuant to 42.30.110()(h), to evaluate the qualifications of a candidate for appointment to Council adjourned to the Planning Conference Room pursuant to RCW4230.100)0. to evaluate the Council returned from Executive Session at 7:14 p.m. and Mayor Medina called the meeting back to order  qualifications ofa candidate for appointment to elective office.  4. - NOMINATIONS AND SELECTION voting, Leslie Schneider was selected.
