Work Session Meeting Minutes May 15,2023 . Mayor. James Carter called to order the work session oft the Woodland City Council at 6:151 PM on May 15, 2023, at' Woodland City Hall. II. Roll call The following persons were in attendance: Mayor James Carter, Councilwoman Allison Owens, Councilman. Jeffery Mitchell, City Clerk Allissa Gresham, and Municipal Clerk Cynthia Powell. Councilwoman Owens Made ai motion to approve the agenda. Councilman Mitchell seconded.. All III. Approval of Agenda approved. Motion carried. IV. Guest Speaker: Ian Perry of River Valley Regional Commission discussed the Resolution Authorizing the Filing of an Application with the Georgia Department ofCommunity Affairs for FY 2023 CDBG Program and thel Resolution Authorizing the Obligation ofCity Funds for thel Purpose ofMatch and Leverage fora al FY 2023 CDBG Grant. Ian clarified and answered questions thel Mayor and Council had about the Resolutions. The Mayor and Council willl hold a Special Called Meeting on May 18,2023, to vote and sign the Resolutions to meet the May 26, 2023 deadline. V. Business Discussed a) Clerk Gresham discussed! hanging the US Flags in the City for Memorial Day. The Council suggested hanging them on Hwy. 361 by City Hall and on Hwy. 41 down to the City of Woodland Community Park. Clerk Gresham will contact. Johnson Lawn, Landscape, and b) Clerk Powell discussed starting a water account for Antonio Sanchez. Mr. Sanchezi is awaiting the Council's approval for him to start a: new business in the City but needs water service to start building renovations. Mayor Carter suggested Clerk Powell contact Tree Service to hang the flags. Attorney Byrd for legal advice on this matter. VI. Adjournment Mayor. James Carter Adjourned the meeting at 6:45 PM.
