Regular Meeting December 5, 2022 The Mayor and Council for the City of Maysville met on Monday, December 5, Present: Mayor Richard Presley, Councilmembers, Kimberly Wilmoth, Richard Parr, Scott Harper, City Administrator/City Clerk Barbara Thomas. 2022, at 4 Homer Street. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE Invocation was given by Mayor Presley. The minutes of: November 7, 2022-Regular Meeting November 17, 2022-2023 Public Hearing #1 November 21, 2022- 2023 Public Hearing #2 November 21, 2022-Special Called Meeting Minutes were approved upon a motion made by Councilmember Richard Parr, seconded by Councilmember Kimberly Wilmoth. Motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: Six quotes were discussed for a flagpole in the Veterans Park. After discussion, the quote for the 40-foot pole ($4,570.90) was approved upon a motion made by Councilmember Richard Parr, seconded by Councilmember Kimberly Wilmoth. Motion carried. Aquote from Oliver Electric, $19,800.00 for having additional electrical work done in the Maysville City Park was approved upon a motion made by Councilmember Scott Harper, seconded by Councilmember Kimberly Wilmoth. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS: Approval was given to have Mayor Presley sign off on the. Jackson County Certificate of Distribution for LOST with a 2 year Phase in and no Phase out with remaining years being based on population. The motion was made by Councilmember Richard Parr, seconded by Councilmember Scott Harper. Motion carried. The Plan Review, 3rdsubmittal on the Crane Street Subdivision was approved by City Engineer, Chip McGaughey. The Council made a motion to also accept the submittal recommendation. The motion to approve was made by Councilmember Richard Parr, seconded by Councilmember Scott Harper. Motion carried. PLANNING & ZONING: Ken Outcalt, Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board reported that the Land Use Code Book does not have requirements for canisters that are being used for storage building. He suggested that an amendment be made to put restrictions on these. Mayor Presley asked that this be investigated at a later date. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Roll call was held to go into Executive Session due to pending litigation by Mayor Presley. Roll call was held to return to Regular session with no decision being made during Executive session.
