Regular Council Meeting November 2, 2015 The Mayor and Council of the Cityof Maysville! held a regular monthly meeting on November 2,2015,7:00 p.m. at 4 Homer Street. Present: Mayor Richard Presley, Councilmember Scott Harper, Junior Hardy, Kathy Bush, and Charlie Howington, City Administrator/City Clerk Barbara Thomas. INVOCATION. ANDI PLEDGE Mayor Presley opened the meeting with the invocation and Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. The invocation was given by Councilmember Charlie Howington. MINUTES The minutes of October 5, 2015 was approved upon a motion made by Councilmember Charlie Howington, seconded by Councilmember Scott Harper. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS: The first reading was held on the rezoning of. John Phillips at 123 Ridgeway Court. According to the City Charter there has tol be two reading of any Ordinance before it can be voted on. Another Meeting will be setup at a later time to hear the second reading and voted on. Mr. Phillips is proposing a R1 with Conditions zoning change that would allow his residence plus two rental The Council chose to participate in the 2015 Mayors Motorcade in Augusta. Councilmember Mayor Presley stated that the price of the new police car had went up since the budget process had started. He asked Council for approval to go forward and order the car which want be delivered until next year (2016). A MOTION WAS MADE BY Councilmember Scott Harper, seconded by Councilmember Charlie Howington. Motion carried. There will bet two payments AI motion was made by Councilmember Charlie Howington, seconded by Councilmember Junior Hardy to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement for Banks County SPLOST. Motion carried. Amotion was made by Councilmember Charlie Howington, seconded by Councilmember Kathy Bush to approve the renewal of the property, liability and workers Comp Insurance with Turner, units in the same building. Scott Harper volunteered to take the items to Augusta this year. made in the amount of $14,247.11. Copy attached. Wood, & Smith. Motion carried.
