Mayor Bender called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. CALL TO ORDER REVIEW REGULAR BUSINESS MEETINGS AND PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA Council Member Schulz excused herself at 6:36j p.m. when discussion ofRZ 24-02, the Parkland Communities Development on West Main Street took place. Mayor Bender advised that the applicant has submitted a new site plan that may require additional variances and aj public hearing Discussion was held about LUP 24-01, RZ 24-01, and SUP 24-01. Mayor Pro Tem Warner During discussion of CIC 24-02 Mayor Pro Tem Warner asked about adding an additional ITEMS so they requested aj postponement to the September 9, 2024 meeting. reviewed several additional suggested conditions for RZ 24-01. condition that a fence be installed along the portion of the property line. Council Member Schulz returned at 6:38 p.m. REVIEW CORRESPONDENCE CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT DISCUSSION ITEMS Update ofOngoing Projects Bender] None Attorney Ross gave an update on the litigation involving the license for package stores. City Manager Pepper gave an update on the Towne Center and several other City projects. During the update he reported that Crooked Can has submitted their building permits. Discussion About Code Enforcement Issues on Club Drive in Nob Hill [Schulz] Council Member Schulz talked about the condition of some vacant homes on Club Drive near the water tower. The consensus was that since the properties are gated and the problem is with the back yard of one of the properties that is not in public view the City has done all it can do legally. Discussion About the Sign Ordinance Bender] Planning Director Thompson reported on a sign that was recently painted on the side ofal business. He stated that iti is not allowed in the Towne Center district and asked ifwe should amend the code to allow that type of signage. Consensus was for Mr. Thompson to do research on it and bring options back tol Mayor and Council.
