Police Department - ChiefMorningstar reminded the Council that court will be held on! May 7, 2018 with 86 cases. The department will have range training on May 23, 2018, the time to be announced at a later date. The Mayor and Council will receive the date and time by email from the chief. She also stated that her department isi ini need ofa another police officer to allow the existing officers to take their vacations. Mayor Pro-Tem Washington made a motion to enter into aj public hearing at 9:06a a.m. Councilmember Gerace seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. After al briefo discussion Mayor Pro-Tem Washington made the motion to close the public hearing at 9:08 a.m. Councilmember Lee seconded the motion. The motion Court Clerk-N Mrs. Davis stated that May has 69 cases scheduled for court. Mrs. Davis stated that she and Mrs. Ernst are working on a big project on delinquent cases. Mayor Pro-Tem Washington questioned the availability of documents that needed to be returned to storage. Fire Department - The Mayor will be attending a meeting with the commissioners later on this Utility Department - Mrs. Lee stated that all is going well. She has quotes on upgrading the software for the water system. She's getting quotes on the fence that is needed around the water tower for security purposes. She has a 60 days deadline from March 15th. The Mayori is getting quotes on maintenance on the lift stations. This will be revisited on May 14, 2018. Drainage Issues Priority List The Mayor and Council started making a list oft the drainage Ditches to include the following: Hunters Ridge, Arlen Oaks, Hickory Hill, Edgewater, Marie Street, Dannee and Nell a ditch and pipe, Clancy Lane, Gloucester pond, patches on street, Lake Gale Road, Butler Street near the bank. Mayor Clancy also stated that Coastal Sites Services is waiting on the city to get authorization from Mr. Woods to repair Butler Street. The motion passed unanimously Residents from Arlen Oaks subdivision was present and they informed the Mayor and Council that a resident in their neighborhood has built a privacy fence running across the ditch and pine trees are growing in the ditch. They also reported that the concrete is broken on Charleston Court. Updates - Mayor Clancy presented the following:  City Hall Multi-Complex  Judson Bryant has provided copy of documents that were submitted to Mr. John Clegg and Mr. Jeff Ricketson dated March 28, 2018 with his memo on the status of the Midway City Hall Multi-Complex. Mr. Bryant will be setting up meetings with the EDT Architects, LCPC Engineer and the Mayor to review the documents. Thej job announcement is being published in the Coastal Courier. City Clerk-I Mrs. Cook-Osborne informed the Mayor and Council that she attended the State of Georgia Ethic Workshop on Tybee Island on enforcement ofthe Personal Finance Disclosure Statement. The next set will be due by June 30, 2018. She thanked everyone who participated with the Great American Cleanup (GAC) on March 24, 2018. She has only received two acknowledgements on the GMA Regional Workshop which was included in your March regular monthly meeting packet.
