Minutes of the December 5, 2023 Council Meeting. Council Member Michelle Lane made a motion to approve the Minutes of the December 5, 2023 Regular Council Meeting with correction. Council Member Oscar Griffith seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously, 3-0. Council Member Carl Spano abstained due to not being at the December meeting. Mayor Sandlin then called for Citizens who have concerns they would like to bring to the Council's attention.  Citizen Concerns:  Oscar Griffith - 824 Sand Crane Circle - requested cleanup at his property where the Hydrant Flushing has created a gully. Council Member Carl Spano made the motion to approve the city replenishing eroded dirt, Council Member Busby Courson seconded the motion. REPORISOFOPPICES/DER8/DIPARIMENTHEADS: Fire Department: Matt Ryan  Estimated $500 to repair airl lines. The airlines willl be replaced inl house.  1    Council Member Carl Spano informed Fire Chiefthata according to thej purchasing policy the fire department  will not need permission to replace the airlines. Police Department: Officer Ed Yarbrough  Council Member Busby Courson questioned if the theft was commercial or residential; Chief Yarbrough answered that it was residential, and the thief took: a couple of rakes and hoe. ChiefYarbrough introduced the newi full time officer Mathew Colson. Council Member Carl Spano made the motion to approve hiring Officer Mathew Colson.
