Discussion-Councilman Fred van Hartesveldt it would seem unfair, that we got all these people here for the public parts of the meeting and send them all out at the beginning who are here to cheer on their relatives who are getting an award to go into Executive Session now they all have to wait until we get back for theirrelatives to be on the awards portion of the meeting doing those things first and Mayor Lundy-Use the privilege given to the Chair without going into Executive Session to follow then if we need an Executive Session we can do it then. the agenda as outlined. Fire Department- Tobias Howard employed 41 months, hired with experience, and transferred Received the Commendation 12/21/2023 Fraud case theft of $61,000 M/O, obtained 6- Administration Department-Delliah Chevere employed 2 months, temporary MU Clerk, tothe Opening of the New Fire Station#3. Police Department-Inspector Deandre Hall is one of top investigators. warrants on 6 suspects in the case, outstanding job. outstanding administrator. IX. FORTVALLEY POLICE DEPARTMENT AWARDS PRESENTATION Detective Wilbourn and Sergeant A. Raines were each awarded the Department Commendation Medal. Entering auto cases, stolen firearm located. Several break-ins occurred near Villas on 8. Detective B. Reed was awarded the Community Service Medal attended nearly 30 department events. Detective K. Wilson was awarded the Police Commendation Medal boosted operational rate up to Sergeant I. Faulks received the Safety Award has not had an accident in over 5 years, and for having 80%, outstanding detective. good conduct over: 3 years. X. FORT VALLEY DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENTAUTHORITYAWARDS PRESENTATION the Royal Diamond Dance Team for their participation in the December 2023 Christmas Parade. Ms. Tisa Horton of the FVDDA presented a plaque and at trophy to the following City Departments, FVMS Band, and Fire Department-Old #2 Fire Truck. Public Works Department-Christmas decoration and lighting downtown, most creative float. Royal Diamonds Dance Team-the best dance group participated in the Christmas Parade. Fort Valley Middle School Band-Perforance and Participation. XI. MANAGEMENT REPORT- City Administrator, James A. Woods XII. RESOLUTIONS Meeting. The following resolutions requiring vote by Mayor and Council were not considered during the City Council 1. Resolution to replaƧe/repair the plumbing pipes throughout the Police Department 2. Resolution to sell offa all the old computers in the Police Department at a cost of 3. Resolution for the City of Fort Valley Mayor and Council to declare support for Fort Valley Downtown Development Authority to apply for the Archway Partnership 4. Resolution for the City of Fort Valley Mayor and Council to authorize the execution oft the Building at the estimated cost of$12,000-$15,00. $50.00 each. Connected Resilient Communities Initiative.
