ATTENDEES:  Shawn Allen, Councilman Donnie Bennett, Councilman Jimmy Davis, Councilman  Andrew Ferguson, Councilman Mark Musselwhite, City Manager  The June 26, 2024 Special Called Public Hearing was held in the Demorest Municipal Conference Center  located at 250 Alabama Street.  1. INVOCATION 2. CALLTOORDER  Mayor Pro Tem Bennett opened the meeting by leading in prayer. Mayor Pro Tem Bennett called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. 3. CONSIDERATION OF AMENDMENT TO 2023 BUDGET  Notice is hereby provided that the Demorest City Council shall meet for a Special Called Meeting & Public Hearing. The Demorest City Council shall conduct public hearings regarding the amendment of the 2023 budget for the City of Demorest on. June 17, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. and. June 26, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Demorest Municipal Conference Center, 250 Alabama Street, Demorest, Georgia. A copy oft the proposed amended budget shall be available for inspection and review at City Hall, 250 Alabama Street, Demorest, Georgia. The proposed budget shall be submitted to Mayor and City Council for a vote on. June 26, 2024 at the 6:00 p.m. meeting. Any person wishing to be heard on1 the amended  budgetmay: appear and be heard during the public hearing. (OCGA 36-81-5)  Mr. Musselwhite presented the recommended amendment to the 2023 budget to balance the budget. Mayor Pro Tem Bennett called fora a motion. A motion was made by Councilman Allen to accept the ACTION: The motion to accept the amended 2023 budget was unanimously approved (4-0). 4. CONSIDERATION OF MOTION TO ENTER INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION (if needed)  amended 2023 budget and was seconded by Councilman Ferguson.  There was not an executive session.  5. ADJOURN  A motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Davis and was seconded by Councilman Ferguson. The  motion was unanimously approved.
