Present were Chairman Chris Dockery and Commissioners Tucker Greene,  Bobby Mayfield, Rhett Stringer, and Jeffi Moran.  Discuss 2025 Budget  Finance Director. Abby Branan received the digest late last Thursday. She gavet two scenarios to the Commissioners: and each one: shows how much would need to be taken from the unassigned fund balance tol balance the budget. There is $9,500,000 in the unassigned fund balance and the recommended range is 15-25%. We are over ini the percentage of unassigned fund balance. Commissioner Stringer suggested going back through the requests to see how much they could fund with the excess balance. Ms. Branan explained everything that was requested from the library was already included in thej proposed budget. The Commissioners added the additional personnèl at Fire/EMS and 91 requested positions at the Sheriff's Department. There was discussion on how comfortable everyone was with usingt the unassigned fund balance to balance the budget and cover the additional requests from Fire/EMS and the Sheriffs Office. Chairman Dockery pointed out they are increasing services, using fund balance to balance the budget, and keeping the millage rate the same. The  unassigned fund balance will be within the recommended amount of22.12%.  Adjournment  The meeting was adjourned at 2:03 pm.
