Call to Order  Mrs. Fullard called the meeting to order at 9:004 AM.  II. Approval of Agenda  Mr. English made ai motion to accept the agenda. Mr. Webb seconded the motion. All members approved the  motion. The motion carried. II. Pledge of Allegiance IV. Approval of Minutes  Mrs. Gordon made ai motion to accept the minutes from the. June 18, 2024 monthly meeting. Mr. English seconded the motion.. All members approved and the motion carried. Mrs. Fullard turned the meeting over to Mrs. Conner informed the Board of the posting oft the open. Elections Technician position. The interview  Mrs. Conner for discussion ofnew business. V. Posting of] Elections Technician Position VI. Proposed State Election Board Rules  process was discussed.  Mrs. Conner, provided a copy oftwo proposed. State Election. Boardi rules. The Board reviewed the proposed changes and discussed changes inj procedure for the office. should. these rule changes be approved. Mrs. Conner informed the. Board that the active shooter and contingency, plans are being updated for the office, andi the office will be participating in an exercise regarding cybersecurity. Poll worker training will Mrs. Conner notified the Board of an informational meeting on. August. 5, 2024 with officials to discuss the Gold Rush Days parade route. The. Board discussed, possible turnout and adjustments made inj prior years to route traffic to the advance voting location. Mrs. Conner, provided the Board with a copy ofcode. sections for review that may apply to voting and blocking access to a polling location. Mrs. Fullard offered to attend the Upcoming events for the ofice were discussed including the deadline to call as special election, the ballot  VII. Election Office Safety  include evacuation routes. VII. Gold Rush Days Parade Update  meeting. IX. Upcoming Events X. Public Comments  submission deadline, and the first day to accept absentee ballot applications.  1    Mary Lasris congratulated. Mrs. Conner on her newi role and notified the Board that she was taking steps to encourage voter participation and provide information to voters regarding absentee ballots and voting. Mr. Webb inquired about any upcoming special elections. Mrs. Conner informed the Board that there were no county special elections scheduledi to be held in November. 2024 at this time. The. special elections for Mr. English congratulated. Mrs. Conner on her new position, and the Board reiterated their support. for the office should any additional help be needed.
