COMMISSIONERS Commissioner Greene asked for Jared Ray to give an update on Pinetree Recreation Center and how it has been going. Mr. Ray saidi it has been great so far; they have had to experience al bit ofal learning curve with ai fewi issues, but overall, they are seeing many guests, both locals and visitors from other counties. They alsoj just hosted their first swimi meet of the Dan Anglin addressed the Commissioners and explained he and his neighbors would like to understand: more about the County Land Use Code and! how it affects development coming into Lumpkin County. Specifically, he said he isi interested in learning more about lots sizes and how toi influence builders toi make higher-quality developments. Chairman Dockery said the best place to start would be to get with Rebecca Mincey, the Assistant County Manager who is alsoi in charge oft the Planning Department. She and] hers staff could explain thei regulations better than anyone else. Chairman Dockery also said thati ifaj particular neighborhood isi interested in having more strict regulations, they could-create an HOA and file it with the season andi the swim teami is pumped upt toi finally have a facility oft their own.
