Jackson, James Hitchcock Jr., Frank Simmons Jr. Prayer & Pledge Call Meeting to Order April Minutes Chairman Daniel called the meeting to order. Commissioner Simmons made a motion to approve the. June 2024 Board Minutes, seconded by Commissioner Hitchcock. The motion was passed unanimously. Bills Thel bills to be ratified were as follows: Administrative & Other- - $410,912.63 Road Department-s $100,055.51 Sheriff office & Jail-$144,936.89 Courthouse- - $60,389.51 EMA-$2,112.60 E911-$163,925.60 Landfill- $85,363.82 Commissioner Watkins made ar motion to approve the expenditures, seconded by Commissioner Jackson. The motion was passed unanimously. Road Department Update Mr. Holmes stated that Sunhill Road isi now open, and the grass crews are currently on Kaolin Road. Mr. Holmes stated he plans to do at third round of cutting this year. Administrator Durden stated: that. Jones Road is complete and the stripingi is scheduled to be done soon. Mrs. Etheridge spoke on possibility of Commssionetsrecoraing meetings to post Commissioner Bobby stated that Mr. Jones spoke with him and he would not be Mr.White: spoke on an issue with uniforms for the recreation department. Paving Taylor Road- - Julius. Jones heret today, but would try to get on ai future agenda. Recreation Park Racism - Charles' White Employee Benefits - Joy Norris Mrs. Norris gave her presentation. Strongside-Wendel. Strickland Mr. Strickland spoke about his presentation he provided Tuesday. Commissioner Jackson made the motion to transferi the countyi insurance broker position back to Marsh, and revoket the agreement. Administrator Durden signed with Strongside. Chairman Daniel seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Old Business Ryland Contract Commissioner Simmons made the motioni to approve the' Waste Disposal and Transfer Station contract with Ryland. Seconded by Commissioner Watkins. The motion passed unanimously. New Business Hospital IGA Commissioner Hitchcock made a motioni to approve the IGAI between the County and the Hospital regarding operating funds for WCRMC. The motion was seconded Commissioner Watkins made a motion to approve bidding out the cutting of timber as shown in Exhibit C with a pay as cut sale. Commissioner Simmons seconded the Chairman Daniel made a motion to approve the purchase of defibrillators for specified county offices, excludingt the request fort the Hamburg State Park AED. Commissioner Simmons seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Hitchcock made a motion to approve the purchase oft two pumpers and one tanker. Commissioner Watkins seconded the motion. The motion passed by Commissioner Simmons. The motion passed unanimously. Recreation' Timber motion. The motion passed unanimously. AED1 for County Offices Fire Truck Purchases unanimously. Executive Session: Personnel Commissioner Hitchcock made a motion to enter into Executive Session. Commissioner Watkins seconded the motion.
