Putnam County Board ofTax Aso-Mnte-y9: 2024 Members Present: Shelby Storey, Shona Bales, Virginia Daley, Evan Reese, John Richter The Putnam County Board of Tax Assessors held a regular business meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in the Tax Assessors office. Chairperson Storey called the meeting to order at 3:00pm. Minutes from the regular business meeting held on. June 11, 2024 were reviewed by the board. In a motion made by Richter and seconded by Daley, the minutes were unanimously approved. Chief Appraiser. Anglin presented. al list of eight (8) business personal property values for new businesses as of 2024. In a motion made by Reese and seconded by Bales, the board unanimously approved these values and the mailing of 45-Day Notices of Assessment dated today's date (1 page attached in minutes). Mr. Anglin then submitted a list of twenty-four (24) business and marine personal property accounts with new adjusted values. In a motion made by Daley and seconded by Reese, the board approved the mailing of 30-Day notices dated Al list of adjusted values for real property was provided to the board for review. In a motion made by Daley and seconded by Richter, the board unanimously approved these values and the mailing of 30-Day notices for one-hundred twenty-seven (127) real propertyp parcels Also Present: Paula Spivey, Chuck. Anglin today's date for these accounts (1 page attached in minutes). (3-page list attached in minutes). Mr. Anglin advised thel board of an appraisal submitted with an appeal on parcel #084D-067. In a motion by Bales, seconded by Reese, the board unanimously accepted the appraisal value, thereby resolving this appeal. Copy of letter mailed to taxpayer attached in minutes. In a motion made by Richter and seconded by Reese, the board accepted two (2) Appeal Waiver & Releases, thus resolving appeals on parcels #096-012-048 and #115A-087. Copies of approved Mr. Anglin submitted al homestead application for parcel #101A-004, which was filed before the April 1st deadline pending further documentation, which has now been obtained. In a motion by Bales, seconded by Daley, the board unanimously: approved this application. Copy of letter CUVA and FLPA applications received in lieu of appeals were presented to the board. Ina motion by Reese, seconded by Richter, the board unanimously approved the following four (4) CUVA applications: 1)021-007-001 2/077-058-001/077-059-001 3)079-007 4)082-007 In a separate motion by Reese, seconded by Richter, the board also approved a FLPA application for parcel #080-042, with the covenant approved in a motion made by Daley and Mr. Anglin updated the board on the 2025 budget, which includes an increase in pay for our staff, as well as the addition of a homestead auditing service for the upcoming year. releases mailed to taxpayers attached in minutes. mailed to taxpayer attached in minutes. seconded by Bales. Mr. Anglin advised thel board that our office was served notices by Putnam County! Sheriff's Office regarding a case involving Department of Transportation and Tri-Co. EMC. No update at this time on 2023 appeals to Superior Court. In additional business, the board acknowledged receipt of five (5) Qualified Timberland notices of assessment received from the Department of Revenue for properties in our county. Next regular business meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 3:00pm. There being no other business, meeting adjourned at 3:31pm in a motion made by Richter and seconded by Bales.
