Mcintosh County Board of Commissioners Special Called Meeting Minutes August 2, 2024 11:00am  A Special Called meeting oft the Mcintosh County Board of Commissioners was held on Friday, August 2, 2024a at11:00am in the David Bluestein Meeting Room located on the 2nd floor of the Darien City Hall  building.  A. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE  Invocation was given by Commissioner Lotson and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Commissioner  Harrell.  B.CALL MEETING TO ORDER  Chairman Karwacki welcomed everyone in attendance and called the meeting to order at 11:00am. Present: Kate Karwacki, Chairman; Roger Lotson, Commissioner; William Harrell, Commissioner, and Davis Poole, Commissioner. Also, in attendance were County Manager Patrick Zoucks, Deputy County Manager Shawn Jordan, County Clerk Sherrell Davis, and Deputy County Clerk Amy Hitt. Absent: Vice-Chairman David Stevens and County Attorney Ad Poppell.  C.ROLL CALL  D.APPROVE AGENDA  Motion made by Commissioner Poole, seconded by Commissioner Lotson to approve August 2, 2024  agenda. Motion carried unanimously.  E.NEW BUSINESS Grant and Other Matters"  1. Consider Resolution 2024-7 "Authorizing the Acceptance of the FY 2023 Assistance to Firefighters  County Manager Zoucks explained the resolution.  Frankie Wallace, EMS Director gave detailed information about the grant.  Motion made by Commissioner Poole, seconded by Commissioner Harrell to adopt Resolution 2024-7 authorizing the acceptance of the FY: 2023 Assistance to Firefighters grant and other matters. Motion  carried unanimously. N. ADJOURNMENT  With no further business Chairman Karwacki adjourned the meeting at 11:13am.
