Mcintosh County Board of Commissioners Regular Monthly Meeting Minutes  July9,2024 10:00am  A regular meeting of the Mcintosh County Board of Commissioners was held on Tuesday, July 9,2024a at  10:00am at the Darien City Hall Meeting room. A. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE Christopher Mitchell. B. CALL MEETING TO ORDER  Invocation was given by Vice-Chairman Stevens and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Major  Chairman Karwacki welcomed everyone in attendance and called the meeting to order at 10:00am. Present: Kate Karwacki, Chairman; David Stevens, Vice Chairman; Roger Lotson, Commissioner, Davis Poole, Commissioner: and William Harrell, Commissioner. Also, in attendance were County Manager Patrick Zoucks, Deputy County Manager Shawn Jordan, County Attorney Ad Poppell, County Clerk  C.ROLL CALL  Sherrell Davis, and Deputy County Clerk Amy Hitt.  D.APPROVE AGENDA  Motion made by Commissioner Poole, seconded by Commissioner Lotson to approve the. July 9, 2024  agenda. Motion carried unanimously. E.APPROVE MINUTES unanimously. F.VISITOR PRESENTATIONS None G.PUBLIC HEARINGS None H. OLD BUSINESS None L.NEW BUSINESS  Motion made by Commissioner Poole, seconded by Commissioner Stevens to approve the minutes of the. June 11, 2024 Regular Meeting and June 11, 2024 Special Called Meeting. Motion carried  1. Consider Memorandum of Agreement with Coastal Pines Technical College to Allow Students to  Receive Instruction and Practice with Mcintosh County EMS County Manager Zoucks explained the MOA.    Motion made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Lotson to approve the Memorandum of Agreement with Coastal Pines Technical College to allow students to receive instruction and practice with Mcintosh County EMS. Motion carried unanimously. 2. Consider Grant Agreement from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority for the Drinking  Water SRF Lead Service Line Replacement Program County Manager Zoucks explained the agreement.  Motion made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Harrell to approve the grant agreement from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority for the drinking water SRF lead service  line replacement program. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Consider Approving Purchase of Public Safety Radio Equipment County Manager Zoucks explained the need for the new equipment. public safety equipment. Motion carried unanimously. 4. Consider Amending Volunteer Fire Fighter Stipend Policy County Manager Zoucks explained the need for the amendment. The Current Zoning Classification is C-G (General Commercial) and the Proposed Zoning is A-R (Agricultural-  of the Volunteer Fire Fighter Stipend Policy.  Residential).  County Manager Zoucks explained the application.  Motion made by Commissioner Poole, seconded by Commissioner Harrell to approve application for rezoning 4.50 acres by. John Bagley located at 1637 Old Townsend Road, NW, Townsend, Georgia further referred to as map and parcel #0047-0047. N.E Executive Session  Motion made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Poole to go into Executive Session The Mcintosh County Board of Commissioners met in Executive Session for Approximately 20 minutes. Motion made by Commissioner Poole, seconded by Commissioner Lotson to come out of Executive  for consultation with the county attorney. Motion carried unanimously.  Session.
