Mcintosh County Board of Commissioners Special Called Meeting Minutes July11, 2024 10:00am  A Special Called meeting of the Mcintosh County Board of Commissioners was held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 10:00am in the David Bluestein Meeting Room located on the 2nd floor of the Darien City Hall  building.  A. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE  Invocation was given by Commissioner Stevens and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Commissioner  Poole.  B.CALL MEETING TO ORDER  Chairman Karwacki welcomed everyone in attendance and called the meeting to order at 10:00am. Present: Kate Karwacki, Chairman; David Stevens, Vice-Chairman; Roger Lotson, Commissioner; and Davis Poole, Commissioner. Also, in attendance were County Manager Patrick Zoucks, Deputy County Manager Shawn Jordan, County Attorney Ad Poppell, and County Clerk Sherrell Davis.  C.ROLL CALL  Absent: Commissioner William Harrell D.APPROVE AGENDA  Motion made by Commissioner Poole, seconded by Commissioner Lotson to approve July11, 2024  agenda. Motion carried unanimously.  E.NEW BUSINESS  1. Consider Resolution 2024-5 "Approving a TSPLOST Intergovernmental Agreement and Authorizing the Chairman to Execute the Agreement on Behalf of the County with the City of Darien"  County Manager Zoucks explained the TSPLOST IGA resolution.  Motion made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Poole to adopt Resolution 2024-5 approving a TSPLOST Intergovernmental agreement and authorizing the chairman to execute the agreement on behalf of the County with the City of Darien. Motion carried unanimously. 2. Consider Resolution 2024-6 "Calling for an Election to Impose a County Transportation Special  Purpose Local Option Sales Tax"  County Manager Zoucks explained the resolution.  Motion made by Commissioner Poole, seconded by Commissioner Lotson to adopt Resolution 2024-6 calling for an election to impose a county Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. Motion  carried unanimously.    N.ADIOURNMENT  With no further business Chairman Karwacki adjourned the meeting at 10:08am.
