Town of Williamsport Mayor & Town Council  Work Session Meeting Minutes- - August 12, 2024  On August 12, 2024, the Mayor & Town Council for the Town of Williamsport held a Work Session. Those members of the elected body who were present included Mayor William Green, Assistant Mayor Dennis Grove, Councilman Braswell, Councilman Charles Brown, Councilman Earle Pereschuk, Councilman Ben Tinsley, and Councilperson Yaukey. Town employees in attendance were Chad Rooney, Town Manager, Ed Kuczynski, Town Attorney, and Linda Mayor Green opened the meeting at 1:00pm and immediately asked the Town Council for their thoughts on maintaining a 4:00pm. The desire oft the Town Council following a brief discussion Items which did not require discussion and will be moved to the Regular Session included continuing to use Schaeffer to do the fireworks display on Friday, July 4, 2026; hold the fall bulk trash collection on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 7am to 12pm; continue to utilize Manno & Associates for consulting services; abandoning grant funding and project for a boat ramp at River Bottom Park; an easement at 22 North Conococheague Street for an awning; and an easement for bike racks/hooks at several Town Center properties, and implementing a virtual pay option for The Town Manager was asked to open all submissions for Request for Proposals 2024-01 relating to the comprehensive plan update. The following proposals were submitted as required and prior B &RI Planning; 561 Congress Avenue, Harve De Grace, MD at a cost of$ $37,500.00 Mackin Engineers & Consultants, 103 Technology Drive, Suite 200, Pittsburg, PA at a cost of The EADS Group, 1126 Eighth Avenue, Altoona, PA at a cost of $45,000.00 RK&K, 159 Plaza Drive, Keyser, WV at a cost of$74,800.00 EPR, PC, 902 East Jefferson Street #101, Charlottesville, VA at a cost of90,000.00  Kuczynski, Town Planner.  was to move the meetings to 6:00pm for Work Sessions and Regular Session.  metered parking areas at a cost of$1.00 per hour.  to the end ofthe acceptance period:  $40,000  Mayor Green adjourned the meeting at 4:30pm.
