Town of Williamsport Mayor & Town Council  Public Hearing - Fiscal Year 2025 Utility Rates Minutes - May 13,2024  Onl May 13, 2024, thel Mayor & Town Council for the' Town ofv Williamsport held al Public Hearing for the Fiscal Year 2025 Utility Rates. Those members of the elected body who were present included Mayor William Green, Assistant Mayor Dennis Grove, Councilman Jim Braswell, Councilman Charles Brown, Councilman Earle Pereschuk, Councilman Ben Tinsley, and Councilperson Margaret Yaukey. Town employees in attendance were Chad Rooney, Town  Manager, and Ed Kuczynski, Town Attorney.  Mayor Green called the Public Hearing to order at 6:34pm.  Mayor Green asked if any members of the public would like to offer any comments. No one The Town Manager and Town Attorney noted the public hearing was properly advertised. Councilman Brown requested the Mayor & Town Council discuss not increasing the rates for residents. Mayor Green noted the town was on point to increase additional percentages to stay on Councilperson Yaukey inquired if there are assistance programs for those with limited income. Thel Mayor and Town Manager identified several programs available which are typically provided Councilman Braswell made a motion to adjourn the Regular Session; Councilman Pereschuk  provided comments.  task to allow the Water/Sewer Fund to be self-sufficient per a designed plan.  tor residents who have difficulties covering their usage.  seconded; the motion passed unanimously; the meeting adjourned at 6:44pm.
