Town of Williamsport Mayor & Town Council  Work Session Meeting Minutes -. June3 3,2024  On. June 3, 2024, the Mayor & Town Council for the Town ofWilliamsport held a Work Session. Those members of the elected body who were present included Mayor William Green, Assistant Mayor Dennis Grove, Councilman Jim Braswell, Councilman Charles Brown, Councilman Earle Pereschuk, and Councilman Ben Tinsley. Town employees in attendance were Chad Rooney,  Town Manager, and Ed Kuczynski, Town Attorney. Mayor Green called the meeting to order at 4:06pm.  Mayor Green noted: no new business is being presented because ofthel Maryland Municipal League The' Town Manager then presented an idea for metered parking payments. Park Mobile is available through a certified contract the town can partner with to provide digital payment methods. The Town Manager explained this service could replace physical parking meters on Potomac Street and Salisbury Street while the town moves forward with replacing physical meters in the Town Center area of Conococheague Street area. After al brief discussion it was noted, the idea should move forward with all areas being placed under virtual payment methods and all parking meters The mayor explained the town will be seeking to overlay Clifton Drive and Maplehurst Avenue The Mayor explained that ARPA money was expended on the street project and there is a very low balance: remaining. Some of the money will be used for the above overlay project, while any  Summer Conference.  be replaced as the town is able toj purchase them.  as funding is able.  remaining will be used for various small projects and purchases.
