Town of Williamsport Mayor & Town Council Public Hearing Minutes - June 10, 2024  On June 10, 2024, thel Mayor &' Town Council fort the' Town ofWilliamsport held al Public Hearing for thej purpose ofaccepting public comment on a Charter Amendment pertaining tol how elections are held. Those members ofthe elected body who were present included Mayor William Green, Assistant Mayor Dennis Grove, Councilman Jim Braswell, Councilman Charles Brown, Councilman Earle Pereschuk, and Councilman Ben Tinsley. Town employees in attendance were  Chad Rooney, Town Manager, and Ed Kuczynski, Town Attorney. Mayor Green called the meeting to order at 4:00pm.  Mayor Green presented the proposed Charter Amendment, noting the adherence to established procedures toj properly advertise thel hearing. The changes will change the deadline to file to now be the first Monday of February preceding the election and removing the section referring to  conventions. He then asked for any public comment. No public comment was offered by those in attendance.  Councilman Brown made a motion to adjourn the meeting; Councilman Tinsley seconded; the  meeting adjourned at 4:02pm.
