Jones Acting City Manager David Deutsch County Commissioner William Nichols County Council Present: Commissioner Rob Kramer Also Present: Absent: Agenda Assistant City Manager Brandon Hesson (oin Later) County Councilman George Pfeffer open up the City-County joint meeting stating that City Council and County Council will goi into closed session regarding to Md. Code Ann., General Provisions S 3-305(b)(1) discuss specific personnel matters, S 3-305(b)(4) and (8) to consider amatter concerning: a business to locate, expand, or remain in the County and to consult with staff, consultants, and/or other individuals regarding pending litigation. County Councilman Pfeffer stated that there is a member of the County Council that took training on the Open Meetings Act and a written summary of closing willl be available upon request. Code Ann., General Provisions S 3-305(b)(1) to discuss specific personnel matters, S 3-305(b)(4) and (8) to considerat matter concerning a business to locate, expand, or remain in the County and to consult with staff, consultants, and/or other individuals regarding pending litigation and second by Commissioner Kramer. County Council unanimously approve to go into closed session. City Council Motion made by Commission President Lajan Cephas to hold a Closed Session pursuant to Md. Code. Ann., General Provisions $3-305(b)(1) discuss certain personnel matters, $3-305(b) (4) and (8) discuss certain personnel matters, to consider a matter concering a business to locate, expand, or remain in the City and to consult with staff, consultants, and/or other individuals regarding pending litigation and second by Commissioner. Atkiss. Approve with 4- City Council and County Council went into closed session at approximately 6:13 p.m. Ovote. Closed Session Mayor Stephen Rideout, Commissioner Atkiss, Commission President Lajan Cephas, Commissioner Harrington, Commissioner Sputty Cephas, Commissioner Roche and Assistant City Manager Brandon Hesson was present the entirety of the closed session. County Commissioner Kramer, County Commissioner Travers, County Commissioner Pfeffer, County Commissioner Detmer and County Manager Jerry. Jones were present for the entirety of the closed session. The following was discussed during closed session: 1. Specific personnel matters. the City; and 2. Ar matter that concerns the proposal for a business to locate, expand, or remain in 3. Consultation with staff, consultants, and/or other individuals regarding litigation. City Council and County Council reconvened in open session at approximately 7:36 p.m. County Councilman George Pfeffer reported that Md.
