DECA  City of Cambridge Special Called Meeting, Meeting Minutes Council Chambers - 305 Gay Street July 29, 2024, 6PM  Notice to Citizens: The City Commissioners are conducting city business in person. The commission meetings are open to the public unless otherwise allowed by law. The purpose of the meeting of the Commissioners of Cambridge on July 29, 2024, is to hold a closed Session pursuant to Md. Code Ann., General Provisions S 3-305(b)(1); to discuss personnel matters affecting specific individuals over whom the City Council has jurisdiction,S 3- 305(b)(7) and (8) to obtain legal advice from, and consult with, Special Counsel regarding pending litigation. Accordingly, the majority of the meeting will be in closed session. Commission President Lajan Cephas and Special Counsel Mayor Rideout, Commissioner Atkiss, Commission President Lajan Cephas, Commissioner Harrington, Commissioner Sputty Cephas, Commissioner Roche, Assistant City Manager Brandon Hesson and Special Counsel Tim Maloney discussed personnel matters affecting specific individuals and also obtained legal advice from and consulted with, Mr. Maloney  Tim Maloney was present virtually for the entirety of the closed session.  regarding the pending litigation with CWDI. The following items were discussed during closed session: 1. Review of confidential documents.  2. Review of candidates for a specific board to fill a vacancy.  Motion made by Commissioner Atkiss to reconvene in open session and second by  Commissioner Sputty Cephas. Approve 5-0 vote.
