The Town ofNew. Market  1793  Town Council Minutes General Session July 1,2024-7:00 p.m.  40 South Alley, New Market, MD 21774  The Mayor and Council of the Town of New Market met in person and virtually via Zoom on Monday, July 1, 2024, with Mayor Winslow Burhans presiding. Council members present were Dennis Kimble, Shane Rossman (via Zoom), Matt Chance (via Zoom), and Michael Wright (via Zoom). Council member Chris Weatherly was absent. Steve Pippin, President of NMCP, and  Debra Butler, Clerk-Treasurer (via Zoom), were also present. The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m.  PUBLIC HEARING  Mayor Burhans addressed the Council, asking if there were any questions about the information that he and Ms. Butler forwarded to them regarding the 5K and Special Events Committee. No one had any questions about the 5K, Special Events or general budget questions, SO he proceeded Ordinance 2024-01:An Ordinance Making Appropriations and Adopting the Operating Budget Ordinance 2024-02: An Ordinance Making Appropriations and Adopting the Capital Budget  with the opening of the Public Hearing on Ordinances 2024-01 and 2024-02. for the Town of New Market for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2025 for the Town of New Marketfor the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2025  Motion: Second: Vote:  Councilman Wright made a Motion to adopt both Ordinances.  Councilman Chance For-3 (Kimble, Chance, Wright) Against -1 (Rossman) Abstain - 0 Absent - 1 (Weatherly) The Motion passed.  Public Comment: None  By unanimous consent, the council agreed to no meeting on July 11, 2024.
