Motion passed unanimously. Public Hearing: Mayor Cannon opened the Public Hearing 2nd Reading of Ord 2024-02-122 West Sixth Street Re-zone request Report of the proposed Re-zone. The report recommended approval. The meeting was turned over to Stefanie von Paleske-Bush of CFRPC, who presented a PowerPoint of the Staff Motion: Second Reading of Ord 2024-02 -122 West Sixth Street Re-Zone request, Action: Approve, Moved by Sara Schofield, Seconded by Martina Zuniga. Vote: Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote (summary: Yes=4 4). Yes: Didi White, Martina Zuniga, Rod Cannon, Sara Schofield. The Public meeting was closed and the Regular Meeting was re-opened. Clerk Comments: Conference Stipend League of Cities Conference. Voting Delegate at FLC Conference Sara Schofield was awarded $1,000 stipend to be reimbursed to the Town for her attendance at the Florida Martina Zuniga nominated Rod Cannon. Mr. Cannon accepted the nomination. There were no other nominations. Rod Cannon will be the Voting Delegate at the FLC Conference. Bowling Green Fundraiser and Pearls" to be held in November. Albritton Jr of2579 Farrell Rd, was recognized to speak. He read a history of his family and property. He announced he would be beginning litigation against the Town in October. He made multiple Donald Chancey of Chancey Design Group, 225 South Florida Ave, Wauchula provided some maps and a portion of the FDOT Highway lighting contract with the Town. Mr. Chancey pointed out the Town was solely allegations of wrong doing by the Town. responsible for maintenance of the lighting along Hwy 17.
