CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES DECEMBER 16, 2020 Pursuant to Public Notice, Mayor Steven Osmer convened a regular meeting of the City Council on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber. Those present were Mayor Steven Osmer, Vice Mayor Mindy Gibson, Councilmember Dominick Montanaro, Councimember Jodi Rozycki, Councimember David Vigliotti, City Manager Courtney Barker, City Attorney James Beadle and City Clerk Gwen Peirce. Vice Mayor Gibson led the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence. Mayor Osmer announced that Item No. 3, Swearing in of Firefighter Bradley Pettingill, has been moved to the January 20, 2021 agenda. (TIME: 7:01 P.M.) She provided an update on recent activities of the Youth Council, including working with the School District toi install refillable water fountains at Satellite High School and holding a photo contest for Vice Mayor Gibson thanked the Fire Department for Twilight Santa. She spoke regarding thank you letters that she received for Environmental Coordinator Nick Sanzone's donation of seeds for Surfside and Sea Park Elementary Schools' gardens and from the Driven by Heart organization for the Fire Department raising money for their fundraiser. She spoke regarding her reappointment to the Citizens Oversight Committee for the Save our Indian River Lagoon Sales Tax and Plan; and she spoke regarding the short-term rental item going before the Brevard County Commission. She congratulated the Fire Department on Twilight Santa and spoke regarding Facebook messaging about Twilight Santa and about the Police Department's ACTIONITEM: City Manager Barker stated that the Council needs to appoint a champion for the Mayor's Fitness Challenge. By consensus, Vice Mayor Gibson was appointed as ACTION ITEM: City Manager Barker spoke regarding the Brevard Delegation virtual meeting and asked who the Council would like to present the City's priorities to the delegation.
