CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING  MINUTES MARCH 16, 2022  Pursuant to Public Notice, Mayor Steven Osmer convened a regular meeting of the City Council on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber. Those present were Mayor Steven Osmer, Vice Mayor Jodi Rozycki, Councilmember Mindy Gibson, Councimember Dominick Montanaro, Councimember David Vigliotti, City Manager Courtney Barker, City Attorney James Beadle and City Clerk Gwen Peirce. Councilmember Montanaro spoke regarding his attendance at the recent Space Coast League of Cities meeting and congratulated Councimember Gibson on her legislative Councimember Gibson spoke regarding her attendance at the recent Space Coast League of Cities and East Central Florida Regional Planning Council meetings. She provided an update on the long-standing Ocean Spray code enforcement case. She announced that the Comprehensive Plan amendment was approved by the State Department of Economic Opportunity. She spoke regarding the channel markers in the Grand Canal being replaced. She provided an update on the FDOT mid-block crosswalks construction. Mayor Osmer asked for citizen comments; there were no comments.  ACTION: Councimember Montanaro MOVED, SECOND by Councilmember Gibson, to accept the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for Fiscal Year 20/21. VOTE: ALL (TIME: 6:41 P.M.) DISCUSSITAKE ACTION ON RESOLUTION NO. 1044, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SATELLITE BEACH, BREVARDCOUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE GOAL OF VISION ZERO, ADVOCATING THAT NO LOSS OF LIFE ISACCEPTABLE ON OUR CITY STREETS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND Kim Smith, Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization, provided an update on the efforts for pedestrian safety. She spoke regarding the installation of the mid-block crossings. She expressed appreciation to the Satellite Beach Police Department for their pedestrian safety events.
