The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pugh at 6:00 p.m. Town Clerk Avery led the roll call, which was answered by the following: ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS, AND APPROVAL OF AGENDA There were no additions, deletions, or modifications to the agenda. The meeting schedule for the next month is as follows: Regular Town Commission Meeting on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 6:00 PM; Community Standards Hearing on Tuesday, March5 at 10:00 am; Planning & Zoning Meeting on Tuesday, March 26 at 9:00 am; Board of Adjustment Meeting on Wednesday, March 20 at 9:00 am; A, joint meeting of the Town Commission and Planning & Zoning Commission will be held on April 8, 2024, at 10:00 am. All meetings are held in the Commission Chambers at the Town Hall. 3. The Annual Municipal Election will be held on March 19, 2024. There are two Town Commission seats open for a three-year term and one Town Commission seat open for atwo- year term. Presentation of] Proclamation to Digital Vibez Team for "Let's Move Palm Beach County Month" Town Clerk Avery read the Proclamation into the record and presented it to the Digital Vibez Team. Arepresentative oft the Digital Vibez Team spoke briefly about the benefits of daily exercise. PUBLIC COMMENT - (3-minute individual limit) Mayor Pugh opened the floor for public comment. Terry Brown - mentioned that the town purchased a wetland, which was a great investment. He inquired if the Town would consider purchasing a dune property, 5015 Old Ocean. There was a consensus to have Town Attorney Goddeau look into this property. Peter Wolf- thanked the Town Commission for their quick response regarding his request to establish a Stella Kolb - announced an art sale, the Senior Care Event scheduled for March 231d, and thanked resolution regarding discriminatory acts. everyone for attending the Ice Cream Social. Resolution 2024-01, A Resolution OfThe Town Commission OfThe Town OfOceanRidge, Florida, Reaffirming Its Condemnation OrDiscrimination And Condemning Recent Increases In Hate-Motivated Crimes, Violence, And Other Discriminatory Acts; And 10. Approval of Contract with Murray Logan for FDOT- Required Bridge Repairs 11. Town Attorney Goddeau provided an update on the item. Mayor Pugh opened the floor for public comment. Hearing none, he closed the floor for public comment. Commissioner Hutchins moved to adopt Ordinance 2024-01 on sudaradassaiaie, Commissioner Cassidy. Motion carried 5-0.(17.05) STAFF & COMMITTEE REPORTS 13. Town Manager a. Cash Management Policy Town Manager Ladner said that her report was included in the meeting package. She mentioned that she and Commissioner Aijala worked together on a cash management policy. She explained that the policy was submitted to the Town Attorney for review and would be available for the next meeting. Vice Mayor Coz mentioned that the town should pursue FGUA. A brief discussion ensued. He also asked a question about who is responsible for the trash on Old Ocean and Town Manager Ladner answered his question. More discussion followed regarding trash pick-up days. Lucy Brown expressed her concerns about trash on Harbour Drive N. Terry Brown spoke about cash reserves and Commissioner Aijala provided an explanation for his comment. 14. Town Attorney Town Attorney Goddeau said she had no report to present. 15. Police Chief ChiefMcClure said that his report was included: in the meeting package and reminded everyone that Turtle season had begun. Mayor Pugh asked the number of beach citations that were issued, and Chief McClure answered his question. TOWN COMMISSIONER COMMENTS Commissioner Comments - Vice Mayor Coz said that he was approached about parking issues on Sarah Steies - requested that "No Parking" signs be placed on Fayette Drive. A discussion ensued regarding no parking signs. Mayor Pugh mentioned the town provides parking decals for residents. More There was a consensus to allow ChiefMcClure to research the placement of no-parking signs. Fayette Drive and a couple oft the residents wanted to express their concerns. discussion followed regarding parking decals. Betty Bingham expressed her concerns regarding parking issues. Joe Belmani - spoke about parking issues on Fayette Drive. Margaret Schott - expressed her concerns about drivers' speed over the crosswalk.
