CITY OF OAK HILL CITY CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS - CITY HALL OFOAR 234 South US1 Oak Hill, FL 32759 (386)345-3522 ELORIDE February 14, 2024 3:00 PM Minutes A: OPENING 1.Call to Order 2.Roll Call Ken Parker called the meeting Present: Cydney Reagan, Ricky Taylor, Darry Cummings, Carrie Werning, Tom Pentz, Dru Ann Welch, Ron Engele, Charlie Dean, Derwin Smothers Ron Engele nominated Derwin Smothers to be chair. Carrie Werning nominated Ricky Taylor to be chair. 3.Selection of Chair All in favor for Derwin Smothers 2 Votes, all in favor for Ricky Taylor 7 votes Approved: Ricky Taylor as Chair 4.Selection ofVice Chair Cydney Reagan nominated Derwin to be Co- Chair Derwin Smothers voted Co Chair by consensus Ron Engele suggested that all committee members give a brief introduction about themselves. 5.Set Meeting Schedule 1. Ken Parker- ICMA B: PRESENTATIONS/BRIEF ANNOUNCEMENTS Mr. Parker explained the responsibilities of the committee members. Mr. Parker encouraged the committee members to go through the memorandum of questions and the National Civic League Mr. Parker will give a presentation about Forms of Government at the next meeting. Documents that were provided by Administration. C. COMMITTEE DISCUSSION 1. Set Agenda for next meeting Mr. Adams, City Administrator handed out the schedule for the upcoming City Charter Review Committee meetings. 2nd by Ron Engele. Action: Approved Werning 2nd the motion. Darry Cummings motioned for thet time to be moved from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Tom Pentz made a motion to have the meetings emailed to each oft the Committee members, Carrie Charlie Dean requested that all members read through the memorandum of questions, and highlight Action: Approved by all members except Ron Engele the ones that the committee needs to address.
