Therei is a legal level of control regarding thel budgetary spending authority as a governmental entity which is seti forth in the Florida Statutes. No other guidance or ordinances restricti the Cityf further thant the Statutes. Your wantt to look ati iti int total to determine that you arei in Encumbered funds, financial impact of agenda items, and preemptive documentation that can be provided to explain thei impact oni thel budget were all discussed in detail. The process ofs getting! bids Moving forward, JMC will begin the process of looking at expenditures and making suret they! have been classified and reported tot the proper linei items. Coding becomes important and once everyone is on thes same place, real time reports will be available with good datai for day-to-day decision making. Recommendations from previous audits were presented, explained, and discussed. The presentation included recommendations for policy! being adopted to formalize accountabilitys andt transparency Recommendations were madet to move to more of ap pool of cash method, a pressingr recommendation was to earni interest on cash by possibly changing banks.
