Jerome Adams, City Administrator stated that the closing date for Volusia Forever Property has Mr. Adams informed the commission that the City Attorney, Scott Simpson has mailed al letter to Light House Cove offering them 1st right to refusal on the 591 Cheyenne property. Minutes from 1/8/2024 Motion: Commissioner McGee Seconded by: Commissioner Hyatt Action: Approved unanimously with corrections Carrie Werning stated that the amount that was approved for the ballfield should be included in the minutes to reflect that the approved amount was $14,670.00 and would come out of the Parks Ms. Werning also added another correction regarding Mary DeWees Dumpster relocation and gate installation would cost $2000.00. No commissioners have had conversations regarding this proceeding except for Commissioner Catigano with an email sent to Mr. Gerald Cyr, Garden Street Communities. Scott Simpson, City Attorney explains Quasi-Judicial procedure. Heather Glisson, Kimley- Horn presented the Staff report for Oak Hill Subdivision, (FKA Garden Tanner Andrews, Attorney for Gaines St Residents- asked how water will be handled when it rains. The federal government can change the flood zones based on data they receive. As for lot size 132 lots, 59 Lots at 50 ft wide, and 73 lots at 40ft. Mayor Gibson stated the 50 ft lots are the lots Commissioner Hyatt asked what kind of buffer will be in place. PLDRC- Harvey Martin's Seat Darry Cummings, 131 Wyatt Street just wanted to state that he is a good person and would not mislead anyone regarding Harvey Martin being removed from his seat with PLDRC. Documentation proved that Harvey had more than (3) unexcused absences. Commission voted to remove him from the board. Commissioner McGee also congratulated Dr Ann on the Saints and Sinners Rededication Vice Mayor Lindlau stated he was sick and was unable to attend the Saints and Sinners Rededication but heard wonderful things.
