TOWN OF LAKE HAMILTON MEETING MINUTES THURSDAYJUNE 20, 2024 10:00. AM  PARKS. AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD  The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board held a Board meeting on Thursday June 20,2024, at  100 Smith Ave., Lake Hamilton, FL 33851.  CALL' TOORDER  Board Chair Ellen Kehoe called the meeting to order at 10:10 a.m.  PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.  ROLLO CALL OF BOARD MEMBERS BYTHE CLERK  Ellen Kehoe, Tammy Pence and Joy Sutkus were present. Deane Kyle and] Leslie Landon were absent. Town Clerk Borja and' Town Administrator Interim Teague were present.  PUBLIC COMMENTS: No comments were made.  ITEMS DISCUSSED BY THE BOARD: APPROVALOF MINUTES  Motion made by Pence and a second by Sutkus to approve. May 23, 2024, meeting minutes. No  public comments were: received. Motion passed 3-0.  MLK] EVENT REQUEST: DISCUSSIONAND RECOMMEDNATON  The Chair Kehoe moved the event to the first item to be discussed. The board discussed the items The stage was: recommended tol be up by 7 am and held in the field that is in front of the Town Hall. The date ofthe event was recommended tol bel February 18, 2024, and end by 7pm. The Town Administrator Interim Teague discussed the Town usually get stage, trash cans, portal Motion made by Sutkus and a second by Pence to approve the MLK event date tol be on. February 18, 2024, the stage be held in the field in front oft the ofthe Town Hall at 7 am, have the event end by 7pm and have the town provide the stage, trash cans, bathrooms and wash stations. LAREMANILITONIT" INDEPENDENCE DAYI EVENT DISCUSSIONAND There was an update regarding the Lake Hamilton July 2nd Independence Day Event. The board The vendors are ready for the events. The insurance has been taken care ofi for the stage. The Bathrooms almost done, Concessions, the bounce houses, cooling fans stations inside the tents and bathrooms are ready. The Blood donation truck will be there for the event.  requested for the MLK celebration:  potty's, personnel and wash stations. He wants his staff for the event.  All in consensus. DISCUSSION/ AND There was an update regarding the Lake Hamilton Centennial Celebration commencing in November of2024. The following events were discussed: The possibility of Ski team for the centennial, Brewing with the lake Hamilton view and a tour ofthe Historical Homes 100 year with  UPDATE  signs.  BACKTO SCHOOL EVENT The item was taken off the agenda.  ADJOURNMENT:  Motion made by Sutkus and a second by Pence to adjourn the: meeting at 10:30. AM.No  discussion. Motion Passed 3-0.
