TOWN OF LAKE HAMILTON MINUTES TOWN COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING FRIDAY, AUGUST 9, 2024 5:00 PM  The Town Council ofI Lake Hamilton held a Special Meeting on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 100  Smith Ave., Lake Hamilton, FL 33851.  CALL TO ORDER INVOCATION  Mayor Wagner called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.  The invocation was given by Roberson. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Pledge of Allegiance led by all. ROLLCALL present.  Wagner, Roberson, Slavens and Mathis were present.  Staff: Town Clerk Borja, Public Works Director Henry and Finance Director Peterson were  SPECIAL MEETING BUSINESS  Motioned made by Slavens and seconded by Roberson to accept the final agenda and the Aroll call vote was taken. Slavens aye, Wagner aye, Roberson aye and Mathis aye. Motion  addendum agenda. passed 4-0.  The Appointment ofInterim Town Attorney  Attorney Anthony Sabatini introduced and presented himselft to Council.  Slavens presented to Council that Attorney Sabatini was the only Attorney who made it to the Motion made by Slavens and a second by Mathis to appoint Anthony Sabatini as the Interim Town Attorney. Motion passed 4-0  Recommendation made by Roberson and a second by Slavens to appoint Cora Roberson as  Vice Mayor.  The recommendation to thel Interim Town Administrator to appoint thel Interim Chiefof  Police. Slavens presented.  Srg.Ortiz introduced and presented himselfto Council Lt.Votour introduced and presented himselft to Council  Motion made by Slavens and a second by Roberson to make a recommendation to the Interim Town Administrator to follow standard procedure for the next in line tol be the Interim Chiefof  Police which would be Lt. Votour and Srg.Ortiz to be the Interim Lt.  All in consensus. Motion passed 4-0  The discussion of the FLA accreditation postponement tol November-December The council discussed the FLA accreditation postponement to November-December. Motion made by Slavens and a second by Mathis to approve the amendment of both Interim Aroll call vote was taken. Slavens aye, Wagner aye, Roberson aye and Mathis aye.
