ORDINANCE NO. 06-2024 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF JUPITER INLET COLONY,ELORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 17 TRAFFIC AND MOTOR VEHICLES, SECTION 17-2 DRIVING ON BEACHES AND EASEMENTS PROHIBITED OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE1 TOWN OF JUPITER INLETCOLONY, FLORIDAINORDERTOPROHIBITTHE RIDING OF BICYCLES, SCOOTERS, ELECTRIC OR MOTORIZED BICYCLES AND SCOOTERS AND GOLF CARTS ON TOWN WALKWAYS; EXEMPTING MOTORIZED WHEELCHAIRS FROM THIS PROHIBITION; PROVIDING AUTHORITY TO CODIFY; PROVIDING A CONFLICTS CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE SECTION1.C Chapter 17 TRAFFIC AND MOTOR VEHICLES, Section 17-2. Driving on beaches and easements prohibitedofthe Code of Ordinances of the Town of. Jupiter Inlet Colony, TOWN OF JUPITER INLET COLONY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Florida is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 17-2. Driving on beaches and easements prohibited. (1) Its shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle on any beach, walkway or easement, provided however, vehicles may be permitted on a beach, walkway or easement area if necessary to perform duly authorized repair or maintenance work required thereon. (2) It shall be unlawful for any person to ride or operate a bicycle, scooter, electric or motorized bicycle or scooter or golfcart on any walkway within the Town. Such bicycles or scooters may be utilized on a Town walkway only if they are being manuallypushed or walked by the operator thereof. This Section shall not prohibit the use ofar motorized wheelchair on Town walkways. SECTION2 2. Specific authority is hereby granted to codify and incorporate this Ordinance SECTION3. Ifany clause, section or other part of this Ordinance shall be held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, such unconstitutional or invalid into the existing Code ofOrdinances oft the Town of. Jupiter Inlet Colony, Florida. part shall be considered as eliminated and in no way affecting the validity of the other provisions ofthis Ordinance. SECTION4. That all ordinances or parts or ordinances, resolutions or parts ofresolutions SECTION5.
