CITY OF LABELLE LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY MARCH 9, 2023  CALLTOORDER  Commissioner Daniel Akin, Vice Mayor, called the regular March meeting oft the Local Planning Agency to order at 5:30 p.m. Mitchell Wills led the invocation. Commissioner Akin then led the pledge ofallegiance. Aroll call was taken. Members present were Commissioner Hugo Vargas, Commissioner Bobbie Spratt, Commissioner Jackie Ratica, and Commissioner Daniel Akin. Mayor Wilkins was absent.  PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2023-03  Alexis Crespo informed the Commission that the purpose ofthe proposed ordinance was to update the portion oft the Land Development Code that regulated parking requirements. She then provided a summary of  the proposed changes.  Commissioner Akin clarified that this was the first of three public hearings.  Ms. Crespo noted that she utilized data from surrounding areas that had recently updated their parking code. There was discussion on how to calculate parking requirements for strip malls that change uses frequently. Commissioner Spratt moved that the proposed Ordinance 2023-03 move forward to the first reading.  Commissioner Vargas seconded the motion.  The motion carried 4-0.  REVIEW OF FEE SCHEDULESETI BY RESOLUTION: 2019-07  Ms. Crespo explained to the Commission that the fees needed to be reviewed and possibly adjusted due to the rise in the cost ofprocessing applications. She asked for permission to bring back a resolution the  following month with the proposed new fees.  The Commission directed Ms. Crespo to move) forward with an updated fee resolution.
