JENNINGS  Minutes of the City Council Special Meeting Tele-meeting Via Zoom Video September 4, 2020 Special Council Meeting 4:00j p.m.  The two thousand four hundred and eighth meeting of the Jennings City Council was held on  Friday, September 4, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. via Zoom Video.  A. SPECIAL MEETING 2. Roll Call:  1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 4:04 p.m.  Council members present: Allan Stichnote, Miranda Jones, Jane Brown, Phyllis Anderson, Council member(s) absent: Terry Wilson and Gary Johnson were absent at roll call. Gary Also present: Mayor Yolanda. Austin; Deletra Hudson, City Clerk; Sam Alton, City Attorney. On the motion made by Councilwoman Jones, seconded by Councilwoman Anderson, the City Council voted all in favor approving the agenda for the meeting; none opposed.  Lorraine Clower, and Aja Owens. Johnson arrived at 4:08 p.m. 3. Approval of the Agenda  J.CLOSED SESSION, PERSONNEL (RSMO 610:021-3)  On thei motion madel by Councilwoman Anderson, seconded by Councilwoman Jones, the City Council voted byt the: following roll call vote for a closed session for Personnel (RSMO610:021- 3). Councilmembers voting in favor oft the session were the following: Allan Stichnote, Miranda Jones, Janel Brown, Phyllis Anderson, Lorraine Clower, and Aja Owens; Terry Wilson  and Gary Johnson were absent; none opposing. Closed Session - Personnel RSMO610:021-3) The followingi personnel action was taken: 1. Hiring ofal Full-time Correctional Officer  Ont thei motion madel by Councilwoman Jones, seconded by Councilwoman. Anderson, the City Council approved the recommendation from Acting Lieutenant' Terrell Shumpert tol hire Charles Browder as a full time Correctional Officer pending successful completion of all pre- employment screeningt tests. Thei recommendation was approved by the roll call votes oft the following council members: Allan Stichnote, Miranda. Jones, Jane. Brown, Phyllis Anderson, Gary Johnson, Lorraine Clower, and Aja Owens; Terry Wilson was absent; none opposed nor  abstained. K. ADJOURNMENT  On thei motion madel by Councilwoman, Anderson, seconded by Councilwoman Clower, the City Council votedi ini favor by thei roll call votes of the following council members to adjourn the meeting at 4:13 p.m.: Allan Stichnote, Miranda.
