Mayor Wilkins called the meeting oft the Local Planning Agency to order at 5:30 p.m. Commissioner Vargas spoke the invocation and Commissioner Ratica led the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner) Hugo Vargas, Mayor. Julie Wilkins, Commissioner Jackie Ratica, and Commissioner Ratica motioned: to allow Commissioner Bobbie Spratt to attend and participate  Commissioner Daniel. Akin were present.  in the meeting via phone. Commissioner Vargas seconded the motion. The motion carried 4-0.  PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2023-26 MINI STORAGE LAND DEVELOPMENTCODE Josephine Medina, representing the City ofLaBelle staff, explained that the proposed amendment was done at the direction oft the Commission to regulate mini-warehouse facilities. She then gave a general summary oft the proposed allowed uses and design standards. Mayor Wilkins told the Commission about a storage facility she admired in Auburndale. There was then discussion on where open storage could be allowed and screening and buffering  AMENDMENT  options.  Commissioner. Akin motioned. toj find Ordinance 2023-26 in compliance with the Comprehensive. Plan and to recommend itj for approval by the City Commission.  The motion was seconded by Commissioner Vargas.
