RESOLUTION NO. 2024-05  A. RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF JUPITER INLET COLONY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING AND ESTABLISHING A PERMIT FEE FOR PEDDLERS AND SOLICITORS AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 11-10 OF THE TOWN CODE; PROVIDING A CONFLICTS CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR  OTHER PURPOSES.  WHEREAS, by virtue of Ordinance No. 07-2024, the Town Commission has recently amended Chapter 11 (PEDDLERS AND SOLICITORS) of the Town Code in order to regulate the conduct of peddlers and solicitors and to provide a procedure for permitting such activities;  and  WHEREAS, Section 11-10 of the Town Code provides that permit fees for peddlers and  solicitors shall be established by Resolution duly adopted by the Town Commission; and  WHEREAS, the Town Commission hereby desires to adopt and establish a permit fee as  set forth below.  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE  TOWN OF JUPITER INLET COLONY, FLORIDA, that:  SECTION1: A permit fee for peddlers and solicitors is hereby adopted and established as $200.00. One permit fee shall be payable for each company or organization, provided that no company or organization shall have more than four (4) individuals conducting operations in the Town. As provided by Section 11-11 of the Town Code, each permit shall be valid for thirty (30) days and thereafter each peddler or solicitor shall be required to obtain a new permit and pay a  new permit fee.  SECTION2: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same SECTION3: Should any section or provision of this Resolution or any portion thereof be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the  are hereby repealed.    remainder oft this Resolution.
