Town of Glen St. Mary  MINUTES  January 16, 2024  The Town of Glen St. Mary Council met in a regular meeting with the following members  present:  Mayor Juanice Padgett Councilwoman Lola Chandler Councilman Terry Clardy Councilman Drew' Vetter Councilwoman Susan Wallace Also present: Town Attorney,Jonathan Bense Town Clerk, Jolene Kirkland Assistant to the Mayor, Todd Norman  Note: These meeting minutes are a summarized version of the actual discussions at the meeting. Mayor Juanice Padgett called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. December 19, 2023 Regular Meeting Minutes December 2023 Financial Reports  New Business:  Mayor Juanice Padgett opened the floor for discussion and approval to sign the "Rural Area of Opportunity Recertification Agreement". Mayor Padgett explained the Town of Glen St. Mary is located in the North Central RAO (Rural Area Opportunity) which was redesignated by the Governor last year. RAOredesignation occurs every five (5) years and is contingent upon Florida Commerce and each community within the designated RAO executing a Memorandum of Agreement. Communities within a designated RAO are eligible for certain programs as well as assistance only available to RAO communities. She stated there is no financial obligation or    performance commitment oni the part oft the Town as a result ofs signing the MOA Memorandum  ofAgreement).  Motion for approval for Mayor Juanice Padgett to sign the MOA was made  Clardy, seconded by Drew Vetter. Voting 5-0; Motion  by Councilman Terry  carried.  Other Business:  There were no further discussions.  Councilman Drew Vetter made motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:30F PM.
