He discussed the Community Development Department roles and responsibilities such as Planning, Building, Code Enforcement, Business Tax Receipts and Non-Building permitting such as tree removals, driveways, clearing, fill, fences, lots splits and combines. Hel highlighted ther role ofl land development code inr regulating development requirements andi noted that City Planner Loring discussed the city's efforts to streamline the development review process and provide cost-effective solutions for businesses. He statedi that they all have a role in Community Development. Cily Council sets Policies, Codes, and Ordinances designed to provide for the Health, Safety, and Staff are charged with administering and enforcing the Code of Ordinances, Land Development Council continually adjusts regulationsi toi further the betterment of Health, Safety, and Welfare oft the Planning never gets easier, cheaper, or faster butt the Community Development Department will continue: Implement Policies and Codesi that create "Win-Win" Relationships with our Citizens, Business Leaders, Continue to create Business Friendly Policies and Implement Code Changes that increase efficiency City Planner Loring also discussed various development projects ini the area, including Marian Estates, 392, Legacy Landing, and FJV, and provided updates on their status. He also shared upcoming non-residential proectsinFelsmere, including ap potential newt fires station ando commercial development on 8 acres of land. Fellsmere matched the growth rate of every major city within 30 miles from 2000- 2020 with an average growth rate of 3.5%p pery year.
