ASpecial Meeting of the Apalachicola City Commission was held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Former Apalachicola! Municipal Library, 746 6th Street, Apalachicola, Florida. Present: Mayor Brenda Ash, Commissioner Anita Grove, Commissioner Adriane Elliott, Commissioner Despina George, Commissioner Donna Duncan, City Manager Travis' Wade, City Special meeting called to order by Mayor Ashi followed by prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.  ClerkSheneidra Cummings  AGENDAADOPTION  Motion to adopt Special Meeting Agenda made by Commissioner Grove, seconded by  Commissioner Duncan. Motion carried, 5-0.  PUBLICCOMMENTS None.  FDACSGRANT APPLICATION SUBMISSION  Dennis' Winterringer, Member oft the Tree Committee, presented the Commission with a draft application tol be submitted to FL. Dept. of Agriculture Consumer Services Grant (FDACS) Program  tot fund the planting of trees at Lafayette Park.  Discussion held about the reforestation fund, grant submission timeline with respect tot the match portion being allocated in the upcoming FY budget, andi the opportune timet for plantingt the various tree species listed int the grant application, and maintenance of the newly planted trees.  Amotion was madel by Commissioner Grove to authorize Staff to submit the grant application for the FDACS Grant and to allocate $10,000 in match fundsi int the 2024-2025F FY Budget. Seconded by  Commissioner George. No discussion. None opposed. Motion carried 5-0.  Mayor Ash read Resolution 2024-06 In its entirety.  Motion to adopt Resolution 2024-06 was made by Commissioner George, with correction in seçtion 2, to change the grant amount from $20,000.00t to 10,000.00. Seconded by Commissioner Grove.
